What you need
Kit list
- A standard matchbox
- A bale or target to pin it to
How it's scored
Keeping score
One point for every arrow that punches clean through the matchbox, out of twenty.
Precision at its most raw: no big target face to bail you out, just a tiny box. It sounds simple, and it isn’t.
How to set it up
Three steps, then shoot
Pin up a matchbox.
Fix a standard matchbox to your target and step back to 20 yards (about 18 m).
Shoot twenty arrows.
One target, twenty chances. There is no outer ring to catch you.
Count the clean hits.
Only an arrow that punches through the box counts. A graze, a nick or a bounce is nothing.
