At a glance
The challenge in four numbers
What you need
Kit list
- Duct tape or electrical tape
- A target face or bale
How it's scored
Keeping score
One point per arrow that hits the strip you aimed at, out of twenty. Line cutters count.
With no centre to aim at, the strips split your error in two. The vertical strip shows your left and right; the horizontal one shows your elevation. By arrow twenty you know exactly where your shot breaks down.
How to set it up
Three steps, then shoot
Stick up two strips.
One vertical and one horizontal strip of tape, each about 6 inches (15 cm) long. For the duct tape version, keep a gap between them so they don’t cross; the electrical tape version makes a cross.
Ten at the vertical strip.
From 30 yards (about 27 m) for duct tape, or 20 yards (about 18 m) for electrical tape, shoot ten arrows at the vertical strip.
Ten at the horizontal strip.
Then ten at the horizontal one. An arrow only counts if it hits the strip you were aiming at.
